This is the story so far.
Weâve just launched a Discord server for early users and curious minds.
Hereâs where you can:
Jump in â https://community.potzo.cc
You can now delete your account or revoke your connections anytime.
We also now check your connections regularly. If something breaks (like a token expiring or anything else), youâll be able to reconnect by logging back in and following the instructions.
So close now
Weâve overhauled the logged-in dashboard, itâs cleaner, faster, and actually makes sense now.
Weâre also wiring up the logic so you can remove connections and delete your account if you ever want to bail (we hope not, but still)
Weâve got card connections working! Auto top-ups are now scheduled and starting to roll.
We ran into some issues refreshing the Monzo token and updating metadata instantly (like the remittance info from your credit card), but thatâs all squashed now.
In fact, weâre actively spending just to see those transactions sync over đ
Another big step: Potzo is now successfully connecting to credit card providers via GoCardless. Â
This unlocks the ability to read balances and transactions. Weâve already started testing initial top-up flows to match your pot to your card.
Support for all card structures Â
Weâre working on correctly parsing the most common credit card formats - from Amex to Barclaycard to Capital One.
Handling payments Â
Soon, youâll be able to automatically sync payments and top up as you spend.
Big milestone: Potzo can now fetch your Monzo pots via OAuth. Â
That means once youâre logged in, youâll see a list of your pots (with emojis, names, and balances) - ready to sync your spending.
Connect your Credit Card Â
Weâre finalising secure Open Banking links via GoCardless so you can connect your Amex or other credit card provider.
Top Up Automatically Â
Weâll ask if you want to match your Monzo pot to your current credit card balance.
Weâve got a big piece of the puzzle in place: you can now log in to Potzo using just your email and a secure magic link - no password required.
This unlocks the next key steps:
Pick a Pot    Once youâre signed in, youâll be able to choose a Monzo savings pot.    If you donât have one, weâll prompt you to set it up and come back.
Connect your Credit Card    Weâll support linking cards (like Amex) using Open Banking via GoCardless.    This is how we pull in your spending securely.
Top Up Automatically    After linking, weâll ask if you want to match your pot to your card balance.    One tap and youâre covered.
No one has access yet - but things are coming togetherđ
Just a day after sharing Potzo on Reddit, over 150 people have already signed up to hear more.
What started as a personal tool to sync Amex and Monzo has clearly caught some interest - so Iâve decided to build a public alpha.
Some of the early reactions genuinely caught me off guard:  âThis is all Iâve ever wanted from Monzoâ  âSounds heavenlyâ  That kind of feedback makes it really easy to keep going.
Over the next few weeks, Iâll post updates here as things progress - whatâs live, whatâs tricky, whatâs coming next.
Big thanks to everyone who signed up, messaged, or shared the page. Youâve helped turn a small idea into something real.
