Potzo connects to your bank using Open Banking - a UK-regulated standard that gives apps read-only access to your transactions. Here's exactly how it works and what we do (and don't) do with your data.
How Open Banking works
Potzo connects to your credit card using Open Banking - a UK-regulated standard that gives us read-only access to your transactions. When you spend, we can see those transactions so Potzo knows when to act. We cannot initiate payments, move money, or change any settings on your credit card account.
Who handles your data
Potzo connects to your credit card through Yapily Connect, who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Yapily is the same infrastructure used by thousands of regulated financial services companies. Your credentials never pass through Potzo's systems - you authenticate directly with your bank. Potzo also processes the transaction data we receive from Yapily in order to operate the service. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

We request access to: account details, account balance, and transaction history. This is the minimum required to match your spending and move money to your pot.
What Potzo never does
Potzo never stores your bank login credentials. We have no ability to initiate payments or transfers on your behalf. We never sell or share your financial data with third parties. We never access accounts or data beyond what you explicitly consent to.
Consent and control
Your Open Banking consent is time-limited and will expire automatically. You can revoke access at any time - either through Potzo's settings or directly through your bank's app. When you delete your account, all stored data is permanently removed.
FCA status
Potzo (FRN: 1054076) operates as an appointed agent of Yapily Connect Ltd (FRN: 827001), who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Potzo Ltd is registered in England and Wales (Company No. 16789794), registered office 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX.
